Love Spell hits #1 in the "Hot New Releases" YA Fairytale Adaptations Category
Drumroll please ... I was excited to learn that Love Spell just hit #1 in the "Hot New Releases" in the YA Fairytale Adaptations Category. This is a highly competitive category, which makes the accomplishment all the more rewarding! Whenever Mom and I release a new book, we feel that trepidation that comes when you open yourself up to the world! When we're writing a book, the story is ours, and then when we release it, it becomes everyone else's story too. That's the double-edged sword that's intrinsic to what we do. And at the end of the day, what good would our stories be if we didn't have people to read them? It's especially gratifying when we start getting good positive reviews and feedback.

It will come as no surprise to hear me admit that I'm partial to the characters in The Grimm Laws Series. When Love Spell was finished, I felt a twinge of separation sadness. This may sound weird, but when you spend a great deal of time inside the heads of your characters, you become attached to them. The upside is that we have others books to write in this series, so I will once again get to be an active participant in how their lives unfold!
